The lanes were closed for almost two days after chemical spill
On Wednesday, a transport truck leaked acid on the road, forcing the closure of all lanes on the highway between Glendale and Westchester.
The southbound lanes re-opened early yesterday morning.
OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says it took a while for cleanup crews to remove the acid after it seeped into the ground below the concrete barriers on the side of the road.
