Niagara Health patients are among the first in the province to be able to access diagnostic records on a new digital identity service.
Ontario Trusted Account, a digital identity service on the Niagara Health Navigator app, allows patients to access diagnostic records such as MRIs and ultrasounds.
Users will be able to view records from their cell phone and can choose to securely share access with family members and healthcare providers.
The service is powered by PocketHealth, a service that receives diagnostic hospital records, and stores them for patients in a secure account.
Niagara residents who wish to sign up for an Ontario trusted account and access diagnostic records can get the Niagara Health Navigator app on the App Store, Google Play or the PocketHealth website.
