New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced most mask requirements have been lifted for fully vaccinated residents.
Effective Wednesday, people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can go without a mask in most public settings.
Exceptions include public transportation, nursing homes, schools, correctional facilities, health care facilities and homeless shelters.
Individual businesses can also also still require all customers to wear a mask.
Anyone who is immunocompromised or not fully vaccinated will still be required to socially distance and wear a mask.
