Niagara Catholic District School Board has confirmed one case of COVID-19 at Sacred Heart Catholic School in the Falls.
While this person was infectious, students and staff members at the school were exposed to the virus.
The individual is in self-isolation, and the principal has sent a letter to all staff and students to notify them of the situation.
Staff are working with Niagara Region Public Health.
Families in the affected classroom have received a letter from Niagara Regional Public Health.
Niagara Catholic is advising contacts to follow the advice of the public health unit.
