Niagara College is teaming up with five other colleges, for the Consortium for Cannabis.
Niagara College launched its first cannabis course in 2018 and is working to improve cannabis education.
The other colleges involved are NorQuest College, Durham College, Okanagan College and Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick.
The colleges signed a memorandum of understanding focusing on four key areas.
The cannabis market, the development of workforce relevant courses, the establishment of a cluster of subject matter experts and the pursuit of shared funding for applied research.
It's expected more colleges will join the consortium as cannabis programs grow.
