White wine wins double gold.
A Niagara College winemaker was a big winner at the 2021 All Canadian Wine Championships.
Winemaker Gavin Robertson teamed up with students from the school's Winery and Viticulture Technician program to create Niagara College's Balance Sauvignon Blanc.
The white wine won double gold at the national competition, beating out over 1,300 other entries.
Robertson says it also marks Niagara College's best showing for the varietal.
Wines produced by the Teaching Winery are available at the Niagara College Wine Visitor and Education Centre at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus.
