Roads in Niagara were a sheet of ice and thousands lost power.
The Region was hit with several hours of freezing rain yesterday.
About 4,000 people lost power in St. Catharines and many were in the dark for most of the day.
Outages hit Niagara Falls, Chippawa and Beamsville.
Thousands were out in Pelham and Fonthill.
The OPP says dozens of crashes were reported across the Region.
