Niagara Falls City Council is calling for a review, of the province's homelessness funding formula.
Councillor Lori Lococo brought the motion forward last night. It says the formula does not reflect local needs.
The Niagara Region, with a population of almost 450,000 according to the 2016 Census, received less than $8-million from the province for 2019/2020.
Windsor on the other hand received more than $10-million in funding, for a population of almost 400,000 according to the 2016 Census.
The City would like the Niagara Region and the Ford Government to review the funding.
