So far this year, the city has received over $11.5 million for hosting Casino Niagara and Fallsview Casino Resort.
Niagara Falls is getting some money from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.
The OLG is making a second quarter payment of $5,285,233 to the city for hosting Fallsview Casino Resort and Casino Niagara.
So far this fiscal year, the city has received $11,542,491 from the OLG.
The OLG makes payments to communities that host casinos, using a formula applied across all gaming sites in the province.
Since 1996, Niagara Falls has received over $186 million in gaming revenue.
"Revenue from OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreements supports host communities so they can invest in programs and services that benefit everyone, from neighbourhood parks to local festivals," said Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance. "These payments help to improve the quality of life and make Ontario a vibrant and exciting place to live, work and play."
