A 29-year-old man from Niagara Falls is facing charges, after a crash involving a stolen vehicle happened about two hours away in Innisfil.
South Simcoe Police were called out to the crash on Highway 89 on Saturday.
The car rolled over, but witnesses say the driver climbed out through the back window and fled the scene.
Police later got word of a man knocking on doors in the area, matching the suspects description.
They were able to arrest the man and they also found cannabis.
He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
After further investigation, police discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen in the Niagara Region.
The man has been charged with multiple offences; including theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving while under suspension.
