Niagara Falls will light up tonight after 751 unmarked graves were discovered at a former residential school in Saskatchewan.
The Canadian Horseshoe and American Falls will light up in orange this evening from 10:15 until 11:15 p.m.
On May 30th, the Falls was lit in orange after the remains of 215 Indigenous children were discovered in a mass grave at a former residential school in Kamloops, B.C.
With the possibility of more similar discoveries to come in the weeks and months ahead, the Niagara Falls Illumination Board is exploring options to best honour the victims moving forward.
