Only one person will be allowed at a patient's bedside at a time.
Niagara Health is changing its guidelines for Essential Care Partners and visitors.
Starting this Tuesday, patients will be allowed to have only one person at their bedside at one time.
As well, guests and Essential Care Partners will need to show proof of vaccination before entering the hospital.
There is no change to visiting hours or to how many people can visit a patient within a day.
As well, anyone coming to the hospital for an outpatient procedure can continue to bring a support person with them.
Niagara Health says the changes are being instituted due to the evolving situation with the Omicron variant.
Visitors must wear a mask at all times.
