Niagara residents can now eat out with friends and family members they don't live with.
The restriction has been lifted for parties dining outdoors, effective today.
Local restaurants, wineries, bars, and other establishments serving food and drinks still need to follow other restrictions, such as getting contact information and asking diners if they have any symptoms of illness.
Niagara businesses still need to comply with Step One regulations, including only permitting outdoor dining, and a maximum of four people at a table.
More than four people can be at a table in the following circumstances:
- All patrons are members of the same household
- One patron is a member of another household who lives alone
- A patron is a caregiver for any member of either household
