The owner of Warren Mechanical has been fined $3,000 for violating the Electricity Act
A Niagara-on-the-Lake company is being fined by Ontario's Electrical Safety Authority.
According to the ESA, Warren Mechnical conducted unlicensed work at a home on Tulip Tree Road last summer.
The company installed switches, pot lights, wiring for an electric fireplace and heated flooring in a bathroom.
After the work was done, an anonymous complaint was made, suggesting the electrician wasn't licensed.
The agency says it has since learned that the company itself wasn't licensed to perform the work.
A $3,000 fine was issued against owner George Warren, and the company hired a licensed electrician to do the work and fix mistakes.
We have reached out to Warren Mechanical for comment.
