Police on the hunt for a suspect

Police continue to investigate a hit and run in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

On July 13th, an 84 year old man riding a bike was hit by a pickup truck on East West Line at Concession Road 2.

Police say the victim, who has been identified as Nestor Chemerika, died from his injuries yesterday.

According to investigators, he was hit by a pewter metallic coloured GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Police have seized the vehicle, and the truck is being examined by the NRPS Forensic Services Unit.
