A local paramedic has tested positive for COVID-19.
In a post on Twitter, Niagara EMS says the paramedic did not go to work at the very onset of their symptoms.
They're now resting at home in good spirits.
The paramedic also self-isolated at home while they were waiting for their test results.
Niagara EMS is encouraging members of the public to practise social distancing, wash your hands with soap ad water for 20 seconds and to stay home if you are sick.
