The change in leadership comes in June.
Niagara Parks Commission, CEO David Adames has announced Paul Hamilton will be takingover as the new Chief of Police for the Niagara Parks Police Service, effective June 1st.
Hamilton joins the force from Hamilton Police Services where he's been serving as Deputy Chief.
He'll replace current Niagara Parks Police Chief Paul Forcier, who is set to retire on June 5th, after 38 years of policing service.
“This executive role with Niagara Parks is important to ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our local residents and visitors to the Niagara River corridor," says Adames. Paul’s (Hamilton's) depth of experience and relationships within the provincial policing community will position the Niagara Parks Police Service well to continue delivering its mandate. On behalf of Niagara Parks, I would like to thank and acknowledge the tremendous career of our currently serving Chief of Police, Paul Forcier, who has earned a well-deserved retirement after 38 years with our Service.”
