Transportation service will end on February 27th.
With the re-opening of the Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre on February 23rd, the Niagara region will soon end transportation to the Port Colborne site.
Niagara Region says the service will end at the end of the day February 27th.
The option was put in place to help Fort Erie residents unable to wait for a family doctor appointment get to the Port Colborne Urgent Care Centre for free.
The Fort Erie Urgent Care Centre was temporarily closed on January 6th, in order to re-deploy emergency-trained physicians and nurses to Emergency Department where they are most needed.
