The Niagara region is teaming up with Land Care Niagara to plant 7400 tree seedlings.
The trees will be planted in Thorold at the Decew Falls Water Treatment Plant.
The project is part of the region's developing Greening Initiative, which is part of Niagara's Climate Change work program.
The site is also located beside the Bruce Trail and Laura Second Legacy Trail, and will provide enhanced forest coverage along the Niagara Escarpment.
