Residents who can't vote in-person on October 24th can get a voting proxy, attend an advance poll or vote by mail.
The Niagara Region is reminding residents of their voting options this upcoming municipal election.
Voters who are unable to cast a ballot in person on October 24th can attend an advance poll, vote by mail or assign a voting proxy.
A voting proxy is someone who will cast a ballot on behalf of another person.
The person acting as a proxy must be an eligible elector.
They can represent multiple people if they are family members or only one person if they are not related.
On October 24th, voters will cast ballots for municipal and regional council representatives, as well as school board trustees.
