The Niagara Region will be supporting three local charities, all while giving away compost.
Residents will be able to drive away with up to three bags of compost per vehicle next week.
All they have to do is bring non-perishable food items or cash for the Grimsby Benevolent Fund, the HOPE Centre or Project SHARE.
The 20-litre bags will be available at the following locations, while supplies last;
- Bridge Street Landfill (Fort Erie)
- Niagara Road 12 Landfill (West Lincoln) - for residents of Grimsby, Pelham, Lincoln and West Lincoln only.
- Humberstone Landfill (Welland)
- Recycling Centre (Niagara Falls)
