Niagara will lower flags at municipal facilities in remembrance of the 215 children whose remains were found at a former residential school in British Columbia.
Starting today, the flag will be flown at half mast until June 8th.
The flags will be lowered for one hour for each of the victims.
Municipal officials are also calling on the federal government to declare a national day of mourning to remember the tragedies experienced in Canadian residential schools.
