The NRP is investigating a case of identity theft involving one of Niagara's Regional Councillors.
The St. Catharines Standard says someone used Laura Ip's name and contact info to sign an anti-COVID-19 lockdown petition.
Ip wants to make it clear that she does not support this petition.
She told the Standard that if we want to avoid another lockdown, we need to follow Public Health's recommendations.
The petition was created by Randy Hillier, the independent MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston riding.
