Niagara Health confirming 75 patients with the virus, 56 of which are being treated primarily for COVID-19.
There are 11 ICU patients, and six are unvaccinated.
The region has 2,081 active cases, with St. Catharines reporting 675, followed by 388 in Niagara Falls and 239 in Welland.
There are also 24 active outbreaks.
As well, Niagara has also reached a vaccination milestone.
Just over 1,000,000 vaccinations have now been administered in the region.
About 87.1 percent of local residents aged five and up have one dose, and 82.9 percent are fully immunized.
