It says John Greer died suddenly at the age of 63
Sad news from the Niagara SPCA.
The organization says its executive director, John Greer, has died suddenly at the age of 63.
He consistently worked to improve animal welfare with initiatives such as the first mobile spay/neuter clinic in Ontario, a low cost clinic in Welland, and numerous programs for rabies and microchip clinics.
It wasn't long ago that he spoke to Niagara Falls city council about building a state of the art pet space shelter in that city.
The SPCA adds it was John's strong belief in the human/animal bond that led to that project.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society, especially to the Niagara Falls pet space project.
