The Niagara Region will receive $12.7-million in emergency funding under the Safe Restart Agreement.
It's a partnership between the provincial and federal governments and its going to provide up to $4-billion in one-time assistance for Ontario's municipalities.
They will receive up to $1.6-billion for phase 1.
Niagara Falls will receive $4.2-million including $1.9 million for transit.
St. Catharines will walk away with $7.4-million total with $3.8-million being set aside for transit.
Fort Erie will be getting just over $1-million total including over $53,000 for transit.
Over $609,000 of the Region's funding will be going to towards transit as well.
