Niagara to Receive $2.4-Million in Services Relief Funding

Niagara will receive $2,408,100 from the province for critical support services in our community.

The money could go towards local homeless shelters, food banks, emergency services, charities and non-profit organizations.

It could also buy more personal protective equipment for health care workers.

The Region will determine how the cash is distributed.

Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff says this funding is in response to the unique challenges of housing and homelessness in Niagara during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The Ford Government has announced $200-million in services relief funding to help the most vulnerable people in Ontario.
