Ravine and Henry of Pelham wines will be served at official functions
Wines from two Niagara wineries have been chosen as the official wines of the Ontario legislature for 2022.
The Ontario Grape Growers announcing the 2019 Meritage from Ravine Estate Winery in Niagara-on-the-Lake and a 2020 Chardonnay from Henry of Pelham in St. Catharines have been selected.
Unlike previous years when MPP's did wine tastings in person to select the official wine, this year, in keeping with COVID protocols the selection process was virtual with a small group tasting and marking their preferences on a voting ballot to determine the 2022 winners.
