Ontario's top doctor calling on all hospitals to stop all non emergent surgeries and non urgent procedures effective immediately

Dr. David Williams issued the order yesterday in the wake of a rising tide of COVI-19 patients flooding hospitals and putting our healthcare system under strain.

Earlier this month, hospitals were told to ramp down those non emergency procedures

The province also issued orders at the same time giving hospitals the authority to transfer patients to another hospital without their consent.
