David Bylsma is no longer the Chair of the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
The board decided to elect Brenda Johnson to the position earlier today.
She's a Hamilton City Councillor for Glanbrook Ward 11.
The group For Our Kids Niagara was calling for Bylsma's resignation as NPCA Chair, after discovering that he is the National President of the Christian Heritage Party.
In an open letter to the NPCA board, the group said the Chair should not be a leader for a party that believes climate change is a hoax.
The board also decided to elect Grimsby's Bruce McKenzie as it's Vice-Chair today.
He's the Commissioner of the Niagara Escarpment Commission, and he's taking over for Pelham Regional Councillor Diana Huson.
