Suspect arrested after being spotted by police service dog Jax
A St. Catharines man has been arrested in connection to a string of break and enters.
Early yesterday morning, police were called to four different St. Catharines restaurants.
At two of the restaurants, witnesses reporting seeing a pair of suspects break in.
Police say the pair fled the scenes in a stolen Nissan Altima.
Officers set up a perimeter near Hillview Road and Kent Street after the stolen vehicle was spotted in the area.
Police Service Dog Jax led officers through the thick underbrush along 12 Mile Creek, and found a man hiding in a backyard on Hillview Road.
31 year old Raven James Tempest faces numerous charges.
The second suspect has not been located or identified.
