20 year old man suffered stab wounds in Saturday incident at Welland bar
Niagara Regional Police have issued a warrant for a suspect in connection with a weekend stabbing in Welland.
It happened Saturday at the Kavern Bar on the corner of Maple Avenue and Prince Charles Drive.
Police were called after a 20 year old male was found with a serious stab wound.
The victim was taken to an out of region hospital for what's believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
NRP are looking for 23 year old Paul Rodney Junior Witter who is wanted for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
Witter lives in Welland but has ties to various communities in the GTA.
His current location is unknown.
It is believed he is taking steps to evade police and maybe being assisted by persons known to him.
Members of the public who may see Witter or know his location are asked not to confront him, and to contact the police.
