Chief announced death in tweet
Niagara Regional Police are mourning the loss of one of their own.
Chief Bryan MacCulloch tweeted out a statement yesterday saying Staff Sgt. Romolo Di Egidio died suddenly on May 25th.
The chief is asking for privacy for the family.
There are reports Di Egidio was the body found at the Merritt Island Trail in Welland on Wednesday.
