Police say the man interacted with a child after breaking into a Welland home

Police have arrested 39-year old Sean M. Mezo of Welland, charging him with break and enter to commit sexual assault, and sexual interference.
He has a bail hearing in St. Catharines today.

Police are looking into a breakin at a home in Welland that involved a child.
They were called at around 4:30 yesterday morning to the Endicott Terrace and Barrington Drive area.
Officers were told an unknown man broke into the house through a window, and interacted with a child between the ages of 5 and 10.
The suspect left on foot, and a search of the area with the K9 unit couldn't find him.
Police add the child was not physically hurt, and didn't need medical attention.
They're looking for anyone who has video of the area between 1 and 5am to call them.
