The NRP is going to keep a close eye on busy areas in Port Colborne and Niagara Falls.
It's teaming up with those municipalities in order to install eight new closed circuit cameras.
Seven of them will be located in tourist areas in Niagara Falls and one will monitor downtown Port Colborne.
Officers will be able to access the footage whenever they investigate crimes in those areas.
The NRP installed 28 cameras in downtown St. Catharines back in 2012 and it has used the footage to solve several crimes since then.
