Officers Conduct R.I.D.E. Check in Queen Victoria Park

The checkpoint was conducted in Queen Victoria Park on Friday night.

Officers stopped 86 vehicles, and issued one breathalyzer test. 

One person received a three day license suspension. 

Police also issued two warnings and two provincial offences summons. 

The summons were for Driving While Under Suspension and Permitting an Unlicensed Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle. 

They remind you that impaired driving is one of the leading criminal causes of death in Canada.
