The Niagara Ice Dogs have a new owner.
The Ontario Hockey League has announced the team's ownership has been transferred to majority owner Darren DeDobbelaer, who previously served as President and General Manager of the Brantford
As well, hockey great Wayne Gretzky is now a minority stakeholder in the team.
The move comes after IceDogs general manager Joey Burke and head coach Billy Burke were suspended, following an investigation into inappropriate comments made in a text message conversation.
