Petition organizers are asking provincial officials to investigate the actions of CAO Harry Schlange.
The Change.org petition is critical of the CAO, questioning several decisions including the recent dismissal of senior Town employees and his relationship with several councilors.
"Of particular concern with his hiring, is the historic personal relationship with one of the five cited councilors, Dave Kadwell, and his dubious track record in other municipalities prior to his becoming CAO of Grimsby. Also of concern are Mr. Schlange’s dismissal of experienced Town employees, hiring of new employees not at arm’s-length of Mr. Schlange, his role as a signing officer of the municipality and the scope of his relationships with the five named Councilors."
Organizers are asking Minister of Municipal Housing Steve Clark, Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff and Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dube, to investigate Schlange's activities at the Town of Grimsby.
