Premier Doug Ford says the sooner we can detect COVID-19, the sooner we can prevent the spread and protect others.
He says the province has been averaging 17,000 tests per day as of May 1st.
“We’re leading the country in daily testing volumes both in total tests and per capita. Over 342,000 tests have been completed in Ontario to date.”
The Ford Government had set a target of 16,000 tests per day as of May 6th back on April 10th.
Niagara Health had tested 8,291 people as of yesterday afternoon and 366 of them were positive.
