They understand a driver might not realize they might have hit someone or something on Highway 406 last week
An update from provincial police into that single vehicle rollover on Highway 406 last week, that killed an 18-year old Thorold woman.
Standing near the highway recently, Sergeant Kerry Schmidt says at least two vehicles hit the woman after she was thrown from a car that rolled over.
He says the drivers did not stop. "That may have struck something, may not have known what they struck, saw something in the ditch, may have seen some activity in the area, if you may be the driver of that vehicle, we'd like to speak with you."
They add a 19 and 20-year old suffered minor injuries.
"Please call the Niagara OPP, or call our toll free line at 1-888-310-1122. We want to provide answers to the family and victims of those connected to this tragic outcome, and we need your help."
The driver lost control at around 8:30pm, a week ago yesterday, ended up in the ditch, the young woman was thrown into on-coming lanes and hit.
