Speeding, lack of seatbelt and impaired driving among most frequent charges.
Ontario Provincial Police laid more than 9,000 charges last week during Canada Road Safety Week (May 17-23).
During the campaign, officers maintained a strong presence on roads, and responded to 935 collisions.
Three of the crashes were fatal, and officers say most were preventable.
As well, 8,020 charges were laid for speeding, and 216 people were busted for impaired driving.
In addition, 632 people were charged for not wearing a seatbelt.
The rest of the charges were caused by other driver actions, including careless and distracted driving.
