More than 20 people in Niagara have lost their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Niagara Health is reporting 22 deaths connected to the virus and 209 positive tests at its sites.
Public Health says the number of confirmed cases in the Region is up to 234.
More than half of the cases in Niagara are people over the age of 60.
Nearly 30 per cent of the cases are in long-term care or retirement homes.
Almost half of the cases in the Region were spread by close contact.
