Niagara Health announced today that management operations at Millennium Trail Manor are back in the hands of its owners.
The hospital took control of the Niagara Falls home on October 27th, due to an order from the province.
The order was made in response to a COVID-19 outbreak at the facility.
During its tenure, Niagara Health managed two COVID-19 outbreaks at the home.
The first outbreak occurred between September 29th and November 28th, and resulted in the deaths of three residents.
The second outbreak was declared on December 8th, and is still in effect.
Fourteen residents died during the second outbreak.
Currently, five residents and three staff members at the home are fighting the virus.
