A pair of friends from Niagara have won big playing the lottery together!
Michael Maclean of Thorold and Peter Tanczos of Niagara Falls won over $472,000 thanks to Lotto Max.
The pair won the second prize in the May 20th, 2022 draw.
Michael says he matched his numbers to the winning numbers one morning, when he realized they matched.
"I pulled out my phone to check using the OLG App and thought 'This can't be right,'" said Michael. "I called Peter and told him we won!"
Maclean says he plans to use his share to buy a property, while Tanczos wants to buy a summer home in Nova Scotia.
The winning ticket was purchased at Big Bee Convenience on Geneva Street in St. Catharines
