Niagara Regional Chair Jim Bradley died last month, council honoured him during meeting
The life of Niagara's Regional Chair Jim Bradley has been honoured with the renaming of Grantham Avenue Park.
It was changed to Grantham's Jim Bradley Park on Wednesday, with a number of dignitaries including Mayor Mat Siscoe.
During Tuesday's council meeting, the mayor honoured the late politician. "It's my sincere regret that he did not have the chance to see this recognition in his lifetime, but I'm glad that he knew we were taking that step. On behalf of council and city staff, we'd like to offer our deepest sympathies to Chair Bradley's family and friends. Your community is profoundly grateful for your lifetime of service, and we will miss you."
Bradley died of cancer last month.
