Jury recommends life without parole.
A Florida jury has recommended life in prison for Nikolas Cruz, the man who pleaded guilty to killing 17 students at a Parkland high school.
On Valentine's Day, 2018, 14 students and three teachers were shot to death at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
The sentence will be imposed on November 1st, after victim impact statements have been read.
While the prosecution argued that the incident was pre-meditated, the defense argued Cruz suffered from mental health disorders.
The jury's decision must be unanimous for the death penalty.
