The Pelham and Lincoln Library Boards are receiving $60,000 from the province.
The money is being used to review a potential merger between the two boards.
The grant will come from the Municipal Modernization Program, and will cover the cost of an independent third party reviewer who will provide a final report and recommendations on cost saving measures for both municipalities.
"Improving service delivery for Library users has been an ongoing priority for both of our Library Boards, and with this funding we can continue to work towards those goals," said Nicole Nolan, Pelham Public Library Board Chair. "We look forward to leveraging the ongoing partnership between our neighbouring municipalities in this endeavour."
