A Pelham family has launched a Go Fund Me campaign to cover the cost of their toddler's ear surgery.
Two year old Emmett Gervason was born with Pediatric Microtia, a birth defect that left him deaf in one ear.
The condition occurs about once in every 10,000 births.
He also has a condition called Atresia, which affects the bones that enable hearing.
The family says Emmett will require a full reconstruction of his external ear, in order to bring hearing to his right ear.
The family is raising $250,000 in order to travel to California and see two surgeons who specialize in Microtia and Atresia.
