Pelham Receives Book-keeping Award

The Niagara Region also received an award for how its finances have been kept, and recorded

Yesterday it was the Niagara region we told of getting an award for book-keeping, today it's the Town of Pelham.

It is being recognized for the 5th consecutive year, with the Canadian Award for Financial Reporting, from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

This time it's for the 2023 annual financial report.

The Review Committee members judged the work based on a constructive "spirit of full disclosure", designed to show the municipality's financial story, and motivate potential users to read the report.
