The province is clearing up the confusion on whether pet grooming businesses are allowed to be open.
The Ford government says starting today pet groomers can officially begin providing their services again.
However it must be by appointment for one animal at a time with curbside pickup and drop off.
The problem began in December when municipalities began interpreting the provincial closure of pet grooming businesses differently.
Some municipalities like St. Catharines, Welland and Fort Erie enforced the rule and ordered them shut, but others did not
While the businesses were ordered closed under the lockdown, the Ministry of Health said the services were allowed if the health and welfare of an animal were at risk and vets could provide the grooming service.
Today's new directive is designed to clarify the contradictory rule.
